God cares for you
1 Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
I’ve been thinking about why I sometimes hesitate to bring the small, everyday stresses of life to God. If I’m honest, part of me wonders whether He really cares about the minutiae — the little things, the middle things, all of it.
I love that this verse doesn’t say, “because He is powerful” or “because He is all-knowing.” It says, “because He cares for you.” Not distant love. Not abstract authority. Care. Personal. Compassionate. Present.
For some of us, that’s hard to believe. But the invitation is simple: cast it. Throw it. Hand it over. Again and again if you have to. Bring the anxiety to Him and trust that His care is real.
Give it a shot. See what happens.

I'm slowly, jerkily, learning to believe that God cares for me, even if I feel like I don't deserve it.
Oh yes!
